Homemade Paleo Strawberry Jam

This Homemade Paleo Strawberry Jam is only made with all natural ingredients.  No artificial sweeteners or processed sugar!

I have been sitting on this recipe for quite a while now, but kept forgetting to post it.  David and I were grocery shopping and trying to find a jam or jelly with minimal ingredients that was still paleo, but we could not find one that didn’t have artificial sugar added or a bunch of preservatives.  So I thought, why not make my own?  That way, I know all of the ingredients that are going in it and can make sure it is all whole foods.

And you know what? It’s pretty simple.  And it tastes better!  I love making these.  So for the next few days I will post the recipes for all of the paleo jams I have made.  I like to put some on some paleo Base Culture bread (delicious) with a little bit of almond butter.  Yum!

There is natural pectin from the lemon, but this might need to cook for a bit longer than regular jam to thicken.


Homemade Paleo Strawberry Jam

Homemade Paleo Strawberry Jam
  • 2 cups strawberries stem removed and halved
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • juice from 1/2 lemon
  1. In a sauce pan over medium heat, cook the strawberries for about 5 minutes, until they have started to break down and gel.
  2. Add the honey and lemon and cook for 10-15 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
  3. Reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and place in a glass jar. Refrigerate and consume within 3 weeks.
