Who’s ready for Thanksgiving? I can’t believe it’s this week already! Anyone planning on making paleo recipes? I am planning on making my Paleo Apple Crumble Pie and Paleo Pecan Pie Bars.  I’m excited about making some treats I can indulge in without upsetting my stomach!

Did you know you can make your own paleo chocolate bars, and that it’s super easy? I don’t know why I hadn’t thought to do this before, but these are great to keep in my freezer for when I have a sweet tooth but I want to be healthy.  I made these with raw cacao powder which is full of antioxidants and other health benefits.  Almonds also offer antioxidant benefits.

These were a great, easy way to fulfill my craving for a chocolate bar without grabbing one from the checkout line at the grocery store that is loaded with processed sugars, soy, lactose and artificial flavors.  Eating whole food is fun!

  4. Sprinkle your almonds throughout the chocolate.
  5. Sprinkle your sea salt over the top of the bars.
  6. Place in the freezer for at least an hour, or until it has hardened. Use a knife to cut into bars, or break off pieces like bark. Keep the bars in the freezer for when you have a sweet tooth! 🙂
