Whenever I see the scale climb up a little even though I’ve been working out and eating clean and feel better, I try to remember this. I could possibly be exchanging fat and muscle, and 5 pounds of muscle takes up a lot less space than 5 pounds of fat. I try to rely more on measurements and the way my clothes feel rather than the scale.
