Jump To Recipe
So now Christmas is over, but New Year’s Eve is in a few days! Do you have plans for New Year’s? We don’t have any yet. We could host a party, but I feel at this point most of our friends already have plans. We might end up spending it with the cats with a fancy meal and some champagne.
If you’re going to a party, do you have your paleo party appetizers ready? How about some chicken wings? Everyone loves wings, right? Chicken wings always seem to be a big hit at parties, people love to load their plates with them! These wings are sweet and tangy, and a bit addictive! And this recipe is fairly simple, so you won’t be slaving away in the kitchen for hours. My husband and I really enjoyed how these tasted. Be sure to supply some napkins as well, they are a bit sticky!
I hope you all enjoy! Happy 2017!!!
- 2 lbs chicken wing pieces
- 1 1/2 Tbsp arrowroot starch
- 1 Tbsp water
- 1/4 cup honey
- ⅓ cup coconut aminos
- ¼ cup orange juice
- 1 clove garlic minced
- ½ tsp ginger
- salt & pepper to taste
-
Pre-heat an oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
-
Lightly sprinkle each side of the chicken with salt and pepper. Place the wings on a wire rack over a foil-lined baking sheet bake for 30 minutes.
-
Make the sauce while the wings are baking. Mix the arrowroot powder with the water in a small bowl until thoroughly combined.
-
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the honey, coconut aminos, orange juice, garlic and ginger. Whisk for about five minutes.
-
Add the arrowroot mix and whisk for a 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened. Remove from heat.
-
Remove the chicken from the oven. Toss the wings in the teriyaki sauce, coating them liberally. Place back in the oven and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
-
Remove from the oven.

Serve on a platter and enjoy! Make sure to provide napkins!
