This Paleo Marinated Grilled Flank Steak recipe is juicy, tender and flavorful, and makes for a delicious, easy summertime meal!

Is anyone else just loving the grill this season as much as I am? It makes cooking easy, and anything cooked over the flame of a grill just tastes so much better.
Especially steak! There’s nothing like a good, melt-in-your-mouth grilled steak. And this paleo marinated grilled flank steak is tender, juicy and flavorful. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it. And it’s so easy to make!
The most difficult part of this recipe is mincing the garlic. I usually just do this in my blender by pulsing it to cut down on time and make it simpler. But for the recipe video I did use my chef’s knife to mince it. After that, it’s as simple as mixing, marinating, grilling, and eating! Nice and easy!
The other part that might be difficult is waiting the ten minutes before slicing into it. Especially when you’re hungry and smelling the flavors of the freshly grilled meat. But trust me, it’s worth the wait! If you slice into too soon you might lose some of that juiciness and the flavors. Letting it rest helps to seal in those juices.
When you slice into it, make sure you are slicing against the grain and not with it. This shortens the muscle fibers and makes the meat easier to chew. Otherwise your meat will be more tough and chewy.
Flank steak is a tasty, flavorful cut of meat and is perfect for the grill. You can serve this on it’s own with some potatoes and veggies if you like. Or you can pick up some Siete Food Tortillas and top with some fresh cilantro to make for a delicious paleo taco!
You can usually find these tortillas at Whole Foods. They have a store locator on their website to help you find some near you. You can also purchase them in bulk on their website, or get them from Amazon.
- 2 lbs flank steak
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup coconut aminos
- 2 Tbsp dijon mustard
- 2 Tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Mince the garlic cloves and add them to a large bowl. Add in the oil, coconut aminos, dijon mustard, paprika, salt and pepper and whisk until it is thoroughly combined.
Add the steak to the bowl and turn to coat. Let the steak marinate for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Preheat a grill to medium high heat and lightly oil the grates.
Pat the steaks with a paper towel to remove some of the moisture. Grill the steaks for 5-6 minutes on each side until it is browned, then transfer the steak to a cutting board.
Let the steak sit on the cutting board for 10 minutes before slicing. Then slice against the grain of the meat.
Eat as is, or serve on Siete Foods tortillas with fresh cilantro. Enjoy!
