Caramelized Pear Pork Chops

  • 4 large pork chops
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 Tbsp ghee or clarified butter
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 small shallots diced
  • 2 pears sliced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • fresh rosemary to top with optional
  1. Preheat a grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates.
  2. Sprinkle both sides of the pork chops with salt, pepper and rosemary. Place the pork chops on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are fully cooked.
  3. Heat the ghee and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the onions and garlic to the pan and saute for 2-3 minutes, or until the onions are translucent.
  5. Add the sliced pears. Cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the pears have become slightly browned and caramelized.
  6. Top the pork chops with the pear sauce and some fresh rosemary. Serve and enjoy!
